Isla and the Happily Ever After
by Stephanie Perkins
A year and a half. That's how long I have waited for the glorious ending to an even more glorious world.
My heart laughed, broke, cried and pissed itself throughout the entirety of this book (much like it did with the book's first two counterparts). The love and interactions between the characters is breathtaking and transporting.
And what an ending. Wow. My heart is happy.
It's not often that I am a happy reader when I have to say goodbye to a beloved world, but for Isla I was.
I am a mess of emotions right now and Anna, Lola, and Isla will always have a special place in my heart.
Reread October 2016: Still good. Still a great ending.
