Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone
by Diana Gabaldon
This was one of my most anticipated book releases of the year, and it did not disappoint. I missed the world of Outlander so much. I wanted to reread the series before I read this one, but I just didn't have enough time, so there were a few plot points that I forgot, but there are a lot of refreshers in this novel that remind you of what happened so I was never lost. I missed Claire and Jamie and Young Ian more than I knew, and I loved the differing perspectives from this book. The action was slightly tame compared to other books in the series, but there were still some high-stakes things that happened, and you can tell (at least I could) that the series is finally coming to an end, trying to tie up all the plot points. I loved the family dynamics in this installment, Claire and Jamie's love as always, and how certain parts of their past were involved in the plot. I'm so excited for the last book, but I hope it doesn't take her another 5+ years to write it like this one did.
