5.0

Out of all the Kristin Hannah books I have read, this one has the most emotional attachment to me. The story is largely about a mother-daughter relationship, but there is so much more than what I expected: domestics violence, first love, sense of belonging. Difficult to read at many times, but I just loved Alaskan setting, character journey, and cohesive storyline.
