i expected to like this a lot more than i did. it was really slow in the beginning and a lot of the angels didn’t seem to have a lot of personality to me. idk why lucifer was so immediately attracted to michael. the writing was sometimes confusing - single quotations used to show that a character was thinking, but they would often be embedded between actual dialogue and it was difficult to keep track of. the ending was good though, and that bumped it up to a 2 star read for me. i can definitely see why ppl would like this book, but i unfortunately am not one of those people. it probably isn’t a good sign that the main emotion i felt after finishing this book was relief that i wouldn’t have to keep reading it.
