From start to finish, this book took me about four hours to read, as much as I wanted to put it down after some parts. This book has very gruesome descriptions of gore and cannibalism and if you cannot handle it, I would skip this one. It was very good, and very sad and bleak.
Graphic: Rape, Violence, Child death, Death, Gore, Injury/Injury detail, Pregnancy, Sexual content, Cannibalism, Animal death, Blood, Body horror, and Murder
Moderate: Excrement, Fire/Fire injury, Death of parent, and Misogyny
Very upsetting to read as a vegan, making the comparisons with the meat and dairy industries in our own reality. If you are especially sensitive to factory farming cruelty, I would find something else to read.
