The Road of Lost Innocence: The True Story of a Cambodian Heroine by Somaly Mam

3.0

SO TORN! I absolutely loved this book and it was truly life changing. And then I found out most of the book was... more than a little fast and loose with the facts. In a way, I guess that makes me happy. Maybe Somaly's story IS beyond reality, and of course I'm glad that maybe some of these things didn't happen. But it's certainly upsetting to learn that such a touching book was a fraud all along.
