"But living without a heart means you cannot feel at all...It may spare you from grief, or loneliness, or misery, or longing, or fear-but you do not enjoy, or laugh, or excite, or love. And one who cannot love is just an object."
Rereading this and I feel like this book and the past book had pretty much been filler books. Maybe? I don't know. I guess I'm realizing why I'm not remembering a lot that happened in the books from the 3rd one on. I did like a few things out of all of this. I loved Alex's growth and her relationship in this book, and I wanted more of it. I just didn't love this one. It was pretty boring. Or not boring, but very stand still. Yeah, they moved between worlds, but it still was very stand still.
