mormengil 's review for:
Μπέρεν και Λούθιεν
by Ευγενία Χατζηθανάση-Κόλλια, J.R.R. Tolkien
Gasp. A middle earth book that I rated 2 stars? How can that even be. Well, this is a very very early version of the tale, way before a lot of what we find on the published Silmarillion took shape and form inside JRRT's head. It reads like a fairy tale, and honestly, even though it has the same translator as most other of Tolkien's works published in Greek, I suspect it would be a lot less grating to read in english. Also, cats are evil in this book. I love cats. Fuck that, I am not doing this. This tale as told on silm is fine, I do not need this prototype story. ACAB! (All cats are beautiful!)
