I wish I wrote a review the first time around so I could compare my thoughts! Yellowface was a very quick, entertaining, and effortless read. I got through my re-read in a few short hours. Similar to my first read, I really enjoyed the insights into the publishing industry, I loved reading an unlikeable main character, and following June's journey.

I do think the magic for Yellowface is in the first read, but my review may also be influenced by reading Babel recently (which I really enjoyed!).
