Marzahn, mon amour: Geschichten einer Fußpflegerin
by Katja Oskamp
Basically what it says on the tin - a biographical, chatty account of stories told to a podiatrist by her clientele who all live in one of the most notorious Berlin quarters from the former GDR. I don't have any specific affinity to our capital city, but even I have heard of this area as one of growing social unrest, the weird nostalgia for the former GDR aptly named "Ostalgie" ("eastalgia") and the rise of right-wing parties.
