absolutely stunning writing - the narration of this book was the kind of extravagant, deeply emotional writing that makes you start thinking your own thoughts in flowery, dramatic language. It was so effective, however, that Lucy’s turmoil and self-hatred became equally as excruciating for me to read towards the end as it was for her to endure.
