much like 'funny story' i read this book on the beach while on a vacation and i have to say i loved it.
all the past lives stories of margaret's family were really really interesting to me to read and i loved the drama (and sadness) of it. it was really a page turning book because today i wasn't able to put it down and finished the 250 pages on one sitting.
i do wish that hayden and alice's story was more worked on. that we saw more of it. that we saw more of it (and usually im not a big fan of the insta ish love that sorta happened here but given how that was the case for every single ives family member, hayden also being like that is kinda what was supposed to happen to me so i don't mind it here) but i also feel like their story fit nicely in between the chapters about ives family.
overall i love emily's writing a lot and i love how real her characters always are which wad the cae here too. it was a very enjoyable and interesting read to me.
also last 20 pages got me so much in my emotions that i literally cried at the public beach where i was reading it and had people come over to ask if i was okay 😠that was embarrassing can't lie.
