I actually got some good tips from this book. Where I work, we've been short staffed since last May, and job postings have yet to come out to replace folks. Morale is low, we're working on the weekends to keep up, and if someone wants something scheduled, it has to be at least a month out usually.

Some of the takes I got from this is 1) just because someone emailed or texted you, does not mean you have to respond right away. Responding right away can just increase the amount of texts one gets. I always feel the need to respond to each text/email right away. But, doing so keeps me from concentrating on a larger project or assignment that needs done. I've also started texting/emailing people when they leave a voicemail to try saving time.
2) Accept that we won't be able to get everything done in our life that we want. Prioritize a few sight seeing goals. 3) Make multiple to do lists. A few things on one on the priorities we want to do, and the others just expect to not complete or place one or two on the main list once the main list is done.
