i love a good epistolary novel! my absolute favorite part of the book was the discussions around god and spirituality (the part about the roof leaf took my breath away) and the relationship between nettie and ceile of course. walker captures both an epic-ness and true, captivating mundanity at the same time, in ways both swift and engaging. there were parts of the novel i could’ve done without, but overall, it was great.
