This one was better than the first in the series...but not by much. There were more plot twists in this one, at least, which helped keep me drawn into the story and invested in the characters. Unfortunately I still found it pretty meh - in comparing it to the Red Queen series, it's just lackluster.

I'm not sure if I'll read the next book once it's released, but I might just to see how this series ends. And hope that the new one finally has something worth reading.

This series is a good baby step into YA, I would say; but honestly pretty forgetful considering the other novels are out there in the genre.
