Love at First Book by Jenn McKinlay

This Book!!

I wasn't prepared for a good Irish cry, but here I am, teary eyed and so happy at the close of this book!

"When a librarian moves to a quaint Irish village where her favorite novelist lives, the last thing she expects is to fall for the author’s prickly son… until their story becomes one for the books!"

I went into this book expecting a cute romance, in Ireland, in a bookstore, and that's exactly what I got... but I also was met with the cutest most picturesque town of Finn's Hollow, a charming bookshop, a cozy atmosphere thanks to all the coffee and baked goods, mental health rep, emotional rollercoasters, healing, trauma, and a looming deadline. I loved every second of it!

The romance in this one stood equal measure with the actual storyline, both so intrinsically woven together it feels impossible to look at them separately. I adored the instant attraction in this "you-annoy-me-to-lovers" romance that was chalk full of book quotes, witty banter, deep confessions, soft landings, and languid kisses. subsequently I also loved our time spent outside of the romance, the quirky townies, the book writing, the food, the familial relationships, and the emotions portrayed were spot on!

With one open door scene, easily skippable, and not overly detailed this is a book I can recommend to just about anyone- and I love that!

All in all im so thankful to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to read this as well as PRH audio for the ALC! the narration was fantastically well done, with accents and everything! HIGHLY RECOMMEND in all formats!
