Daisy in Chains by Sharon Bolton

5.0

Where to begin with daisy in chains!! The writing pulled me in right from the first page! I can see why so many people loved this book! Hamish Wolfe a leading cancer surgeon is in prison for life for the kidnapping and murder of three overweight woman. He is good looking man with a fan club is mother is a huge supporter , he’s claimed his innocence from the moment he was arrested. Maggie Rose is a defense lawyer and true crime writer with blue hair, a little eccentric a lives a very reclusive life she has a mind of her own! Hamish writes to Maggie constantly requesting her to handle his case and says he has proof of his innocence, Maggie says she only takes cases she knows she can win. Maggie eventually takes on Hamish and she also has some communication with a detective Pete Weston who was the one to arrest Hamish. This book is different than any other book I read it bounces from the story to letters written by Hamish to a certain possible love interest along with Maggie’s research notes emails newspaper clippings and magazine articles. I loved how the author weaves the story together and keeps you wondering what’s going to happen next. The ending was a definite shocker!
