Secret Obsession by S. Massery

I enjoyed it but I think the CNC, and borderline NC, is always hard for me. Yes, it’s listed as a trigger and yes, they are warnings so read them before reading the book, but sometimes it doesn’t bother me and sometimes it does. This time if fell in the middle.
What did I like:
1. I did really like Miles ultimate goal and “waking” up the heroine and stopping her spiral down. I think he really did love her.
2. I did like the subplot to the romance the best so far of the books I read. I love suspense and impending danger coming from outside of the couple.
3. The intimate moments were pretty wild, definitely dom and sub vibes, but no real conversation other than he likes control and she likes to be controlled.
4. I do enjoy the writing style.
5. The heroine became stronger by the end, and I liked that. I liked that she learned that she is lovable, and I connected to the difficulty with expressing love.
What I needed more of:
1. The CNC, needed more of the consent to it in my personal opinion.
2. The dance plot line died off. I get it was a plot point to push the story along but it just had zero resolution and then all the sudden she wanted to sing.
3. The tracker thing never ever comes to fruition, never discussed, she never knows about it. Seems like she should.
I enjoyed the book overall, and if you love OTT possessive herpes, and little to no TW you will enjoy it as well.
