It shatters my heart that a fictional character did not get a happy ending.
Werner would have worshipped Marie-Laure for the rest of his life (yes, you could argue he /did/, but you know very well what I mean), and by God, she deserved that.
Simply put: this is a beautiful fucking book about perspectives and introspection.
