Knife: Meditations After an Attempted Murder by Salman Rushdie

It's hard to imagine going through something like this and coming out on the other side in a way that isn't shattered. But I thought it was interesting how he talked about rebuilding his reality, his happiness, after the attack. I didn't find any grand statements or epiphanies. Just a man trying to come to terms with the blows that life dealt him and how to continue living his life. He doesn't ask you to agree or disagree, but, I think, to simply listen to his thoughts.
