Harry Potter Film Wizardry by Brian Sibley

3.0

What a delight for Harry Potter fans! In the format of a faux scrapbook, this collection of photos, interviews, costume sketches, and documents that you can take out of precious envelopes and explore (the marauder map! Harry's invitation to Hogwarts! I.d. cards!) gives you an almost magical experience. The book is about the making of the movies, and I was surprised by a lot of the film wizardry such as Hogwarts actually being a model only about 7 feet tall. This makes a lovely piece of any Potter fan's collection, but I'm not half as interested in film production and what's going on behind the scenes as I am with the original experience, so I didn't read the whole thing. I'm the kind of person who can't believe anyone wants to view the bonus material at the end of a movie, so the fact that I read even half of this says a lot. Treat it with care; it's fragile!
