This book was very confusing to me. I understand that the rambles and the references are part of the charm of this book but I just did not get it. I ended up skimming lots of parts on accident because I got bored, especially during the long quotes and passages. While I do enjoy the actual essay pieces of this and I think the writing style is interesting, I just don't care enough to keep reading.
