Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han

5.0

This was a rollercoaster of emotions and...my heart!

I absolutely loved this book, so much! I’m so glad I did. At first I was a little hesitant, with it being the end of the series, and the fact that it was originally supposed to end with the second book. However, I’m so glad this book exists and it was everything I needed - it was perfect!

I loved seeing Lara Jean grow in this final book, she really came out of her shell, and even though she develops through the whole series, she really found herself and her voice in this final book.
The family relationship was everything and of course, the Song girls were everything. Their sisterly relationship never fails to warm my heart.

The plot was never dull and it didn’t feel rushed or dragged out either. It was full of emotional things (I’m not going to spoil) - I cried many times. Jenny Han did such an amazing job at wrapping everything up, it was done perfectly. There were no unanswered questions, no plot holes or empty feelings. Each character had their destiny set out and their final exit, it was so good.

This was the perfect ending to one of my favourite series, and although I feel sad it’s over, I also feel so content with how it ended. I am happy.

This series is why I read. To feel so attached to characters, to feel like you know them personally, is such a wonderful feeling. To feel so emotionally committed, to feel so lost and sad when it ends, as if you’ve been living with these characters, and now you’ve moved away and won’t see these people again. I am so thankful for this series and these characters and these feelings.
I will definitely be re-reading this series and now I’m going to lie in bed in the dark and contemplate life and my feelings.
