General Comments: Original and playful; for Children’s Fiction, the slow unravelling of secrets is solid and easy to digest. There is a rich gallery of subplots and backstories, that tie together well. It is quirky, creepy, and unforgettably adventurous; whilst being full of excitement, action, and suspense. At times, from the perspective of an adult, the language and writing felt repetitive, combined with a slow pace.

Favourite Quote: ‘Maybe tea was the answer to everything.’
