Scarlett by Alexandra Ripley

3.0

My feelings about this book are the same as my feelings on the Ready Player One adaptation. It’s horrible if you’re comparing it to the source material, and good if you divorce it from the original and think of it as its’ own separate thing. Another thing- Alexandra Ripley clearly didn’t understand Gone with the Wind. Her novel reflects that. It reads like a fanfiction- immersive, but nowhere near comparable to the real thing.
