Individually, there were many things to like about this book, but those individual elements didn't add up to a whole for me.
Like many books, I thought this one could use more editing. I think the length was supposed to draw the suspense out, but instead it just made me impatient, perhaps because I couldn't really feel the suspense. I didn't believe things would end badly. (And I won't tell you if they did or not.)
Amanda was kind of interesting character, except that I thought she was written younger than she was supposed to be. She felt 13 or 14 to me, and I'm not sure that was the intention. Indiana was too much a stereotype--she didn't feel real. The other characters were similarly unreachable by me.
