I know, I know. I keep saying I’m not going to read anymore omegaverse books. But here I am, back on my bullshit. And not loving it. My face was pretty much stuck in the iconic “gross no thank you” Dean Winchester expression.

Red flags, uncomfortable dialogue, questionable practices and behavior patterns. But most of these in-between-spice scenes aren’t really meant to move the plot forward as much as move the FMC to the next available partner to bang.

Part of my problem was the setting. In most other omegaverse stories I’ve read, there is a not-really-our-world vibe (Lola and the Billionaires being the notable outlier). This one took place in basically-Oxford. Which did not help me visualize any of these characters or situations because all I could think about was Lewis and I was wondering who was going to be murdered. I miss that show.

The exception to my “no thank you” vibe was Seb. His character had the most potential and I was more invested in him than anyone else.

Keep in mind that I’m not exactly easy on this genre, despite my TBR being liberally peppered with it. Once again YMMV especially if you’re here for more spice than plot.
