Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents: how to heal from distant, rejecting, or self-Involved-parents by Lindsay C. Gibson

5.0

Have you ever read a book that you want to recommend to so many people, but doing so would say too much about yourself and what you think of their parents?
Regardless, this is an excellent book and I highly recommend it. I read it at the beginning of my marriage, and it really helped me understand and heal areas of my childhood. Not only that, it gave me tools to understand and not get riled up by EI coworkers and family members. I read this book to learn how to set boundaries and I learned way more than I could have hoped.
A few of the reviews talked about how to author didn't delve into improving our own emotionally maturity. She didn't expound on this, but I think that subject is definitely a book in its own right, so I'm glad she stayed on subject.
