I was so angry with Rodeo for parts of this book - him not being able to handle his traumas and refusing his daughter her right to reminisce about their family. Him being too emotionally immature to be there for his child. But I also loved that the adults were flawed in this book, because people are flawed. And that made them even more loveable in the end.

I don’t find books often that makes me cry and laugh at the same time. That leaves me hopeful even though it can be heartbreaking at times. What a gem ❤️
