Games People Play by Eric Berne

1.0

berne explains to us that every social interaction is some sort of game, where a game is a series of interactions between two or more people who are either in the child, adult or parent states. he then goes on to give examples of games which are given whimsical titles like "i know you are but what am i" and "i am irrationally acting irrationally". the first few games mentioned are interesting because they're probably things that have happened to every one of us and we can relate, etc. however, the games start becoming more absurd as they go on, where everyone is a caricature of a caricature and it comes to a point where you've only ever seen people act like this in films. and then there's a final chapter where berne says some disjointed things about the games described and then it just ends.

save yourself some time and don't bother.
