Girl, Serpent, Thorn by Melissa Bashardoust

Wow!

I did not expect to be so enraptured by this book! Everything about this book drew me in: the wonderful, unique, and dangerous world; the strong female heroine, and a romance that surprised me at the end.

Soraya never felt comfortable in her own skin. No, literally...Cursed when she was born, Soraya's skin was poisonous and deadly to anyone who touched her. This left her in isolation growing up. Not being able to touch her mother, twin brother, and best friend, Soraya started to feel left behind, and trapped. Until a mysterious boy met and understood her...

The magic was very folklore like and I didn't have a problem getting sucked in. The ending was a bit anti-climatic, but overall, I had a lot of fun reading this!
