If you love a cozy fantasy romance, I would recommend this book. It features a slow-burn romance, concealed identities, a strong chosen family element, and a touch of political intrigue.
The love story between the hero, with his tender heart, and the heroine, who was powerful and seemingly wicked, but had a hidden softness, was just beautiful. I loved the stolen glances and the deep yearning between them. Most of all though, I loved the way they leaned on each other, finding the strength to confront their past traumas together.
It was just a very heartwarming story about resilience, acceptance, friendship, and love. I honestly cannot wait for the second book!
