Haunting and revealing.
A short but heavy read.
The three perspectives of the main character Yeong-hye’s sudden and staunch vegetarianism (veganism) while none of these being from her point of view was eye-opening.
The final section told from In-hye’s perspective about shared issues and sisterhood was brutal and emotional.
The second section was definitely more abstract and focused intently on shared delusion, was the more “erotic” part and was horrific in places.
Overall though, this was an incredible book.
