All Good People Here by Ashley Flowers

3.0

I was prepared to give this more stars through the middle, but then the wtf ending happened.
Spoiler Unlike other readers, I enjoyed the similarities to the JonBenet Ramsey case because I think Flowers did a great job of getting inside the mom Krissy's head, in depicting the tense relationship between her and her son, and showing the impact on the family of the town/public making judgements about the case. I was even there for Krissy finding love with a woman since I empathized with her situation. However, several plot points - Jodie being the woman stalking Margot and Luke being the father of the twins - were too obviously foreshadowed, and the bad surprise twist was that the story presumably ends with Billie killing Margot and getting away with murder for the third time. Not what I read thrillers looking for.
