Poorly written. My first DNF book in the last year. I thought I already wrote this review but it appears to have vanished. The writing was so bad, I really tried for 1/3 of the book. But the author repeated themselves over and over (even in the same paragraph) and the editor appeared to have missed this. Additionally, even though I was 1/3 of the way through the book, it felt like I was only 5minutes into the story. Likely due to the repetitive writing. Once I realized I dreaded picking up the book and wasn’t enjoying it, I added it to my DNF pile.
