Where do I even BEGIN?!?? This was such a good book, I was hooked from literally the first line of the prologue and never felt bored once. Ive seen others say it’s not that original (hunger games but make it vampires) but I thought it was so creative and I was constantly curious about what answers and backstory we would get in the coming chapters. Of course there were questions introduced early on that I kept in mind as the story developed, and things I thought might happen, but there were questions and answers that came in later that I wasn’t even thinking about, which made for some great plot twists. The relationship between Oraya and Vincent was SO WELL DONE in terms of complexity and duality, and the slow-burn development of Raihn and Oraya was impeccable. Zero complaints, honestly. Fantastic book from start to finish and can’t wait to start reading book 2, although waiting for the rest of the series to come out might just kill me
