A fantastic graphic memoir that opened up my eyes to the many misconceptions I had regarding what it means to be deaf. As Bell mentions in the Author’s Note, this was her specific experience with deafness and being deaf can look very different depending on the circumstances. Perfect for middle graders (the target audience), but will be equally enjoyed and beneficial to us older readers.
