šāAs much as I want you to run, Iām too selfish to give you up.ā
šāI wonāt lose you, not even to yourself.ā
šāThis will only ever be yours. You could leave me or even meet Malek, and it still would be. Iāve made my peace with knowing thereās no getting over you.ā
Took me a month to find the right amount of time to read Onyx Storm. But I wouldnāt change it for the world. I had the time to savor it, to digest it, to make it part of my very soulā¦ piece by piece.
This felt like a Book 2. Now, I know some of you guys detest Book 2s cadence. Itās slower in a sense, with lots of things happening but also nothing really major going on. I, on the other hand, adore Book 2s. All my immense need for information to start flowing so I can start making a better sense of things is satiated with Book 2s. Book 2s is where I connect with secondary characters (Mira, I adore you š) and where I see the resilience of the main ones.
Thereās no āwill they, wonāt they.ā Thereās no final battle to worry aboutā¦ yet. Thereās just lots of plotting, secrets uncovered and a healthy dose of twists I never see coming. Book 2s make or break a series. And this āI feel like a book 2ā Onyx Storm solidified my unwavering love for The Empyrean.
Lose it all. But never her. š¤
