Like the first book, the cover doesn't do the characters justice. I felt like they just animated a bunch of things someone said were in the book versus reading themselves.
Regardless, I enjoyed this story more than I did the first one. I feel like it helped me understand why Calladia is such a brute. I liked that Alistair didn't see her as some dainty flower. She's more like a giant snapping turtle.
