Dorothy Must Die: Stories by Danielle Paige

4.0

I started the Dorothy Must Die series several years ago. I really enjoyed the series (even though the last 2 books were a little more drawn out than necessary, in my opinion). I just finished "The End of Oz" earlier this year and decided to go back and read all of the novellas. I really enjoyed learning the back story on how Dorothy returned to Oz, all of Glinda's shenanigans and what happened after the Wizard left Oz. While I enjoyed each of these short stories, it would've been nice to include some of these details into the main books. Like I said, especially later in the series, there was a lot of filler and fluff. Using these back stories would've provided relevant content and help strengthen the character development. I'll definitely be reading the next bound editions before the end of the year.
