Gonna be honest while I enjoyed aspects of this book the mishmash of Christianity, fae, Greek, and pagan lore and aspects had me confused. The fact that her name is Cassiel didn’t help my mental association with Supernatural the show. 

The intensity of the witch hunt that happened also was confusing... I just don’t buy that this intense hatred and massacre would’ve happened especially worldwide when so many cultures have aspects of what Christians would consider witchcraft it just rubbed me the wrong way.


Also the obsession with babies my god. 

The romance also bothered me because it was clearly toxic and unhealthy when they were younger so I didn’t buy that they were that deeply in love after 9 years apart.
