Fatal Alliance by Sean Williams

1.0

This book was incredibly dull. Chapter upon chapter was taken to describe events that could have been summed up in a few paragraphs. If it had been 150 pages or so, that would have been perfect.
Even if it was shorter, it still would have suffered from an amazingly boring plot. Why either side decided to go on the adventure is beyond me even after finishing it.
The characters were uninteresting. They were all very cookie cutter with no personalities that I could care about. Shigar's "psychometry" is one of the dumbest abilities I've ever read. Apparently this isn't the first book that used it, but that doesn't make it right...
