I was worried I was going to be disappointed in this when I first started reading (Persephone's personality in the first few chapters can easily be interpreted as infantilizing rather than wholly and utterly pure), but I very quickly understood why it's so lauded. It's beautiful and already heart-wrenching, and I'm so, so angry that I have to wait to read more.
It's been a long time since I read a graphic novel that's this enchanting.
