This book has very mixed reviews, but I ate it up! The emotional complexities of female relationships including mother-daughter, besties, and lovers is explored and stretched to the limits. The story is multi-POV from Alice, Sadie, and Celine's point of view. It took a minute to get into because you are just plopped right into the story happening and have to read a lot of pages before we start getting the backstory. But once it all comes together...the last chapter... ya'll!! My chin was on the ground. I still think about this book from time to time. If you enjoy character driven novels with unlikeable characters in messy uncomfortable positions, you will also eat this up.

The audiobook is narrated by no other than Chloe Sevgny and she was pure perfection for this novel.

Special thanks to Simon & Schuster and Simon for the free copy of this book.
