I love Kristin Hannah’s books but unfortunately I didn’t enjoy this one as much as I was hoping to. It felt, for lack of better words, too “cookie-cutter” from her other narratives and I found the flow of the story predictable and lacking. I do appreciate the themes she presented and the historical context, of which I find fascinating! Still a well written story and one worth telling.
