This was a decent book. I'm glad this was a duology because I don't think it could have gone on for more books. A lot happened but some scenes felt more like filler than necessary plot points (this was true for a few of the spicy scenes). Finn fell flat for me in this book. I liked him in book 1, but here he felt like a one dimensional side character rather than a main love interest. I was happy with the ending, but wanted a little more of a fight with the king.
Overall, it was good but I wanted a little less of the repetitive tropes.
