Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators by Ronan Farrow

5.0

Wow. Wow. Wow. Ronan Farrow does a phenomenal job in capturing everything that has happened in our culture the last few years. I was, of course, familiar with Weinstein and some of the allegations against him, but I did not know the depth of the investigation that occurred. And I was completely unaware of what Ronan Farrow went through as one of the first reporters to break the story and how he was squashed over and over again by NBC. He is an incredible reporter who did his best to honor and respect the women who trusted him with their stories. His investigative work has been pivotal in bringing these predators into the light so that people know them for what they are. I also appreciated that Farrow shared facts, he never really delved into his opinion, but shared facts. Which in a world where it seems that all news is skewed by that network's opinions, I appreciated Farrow's discretion in sharing what occurred without adding person opinions into the mix. I cannot recommend this book enough!
