Again the Magic by Lisa Kleypas
3.0
This was very...okay. I liked it towards the end, but getting there seemed like a little bit of a chore. I think reading two romances in one book disturbed the pacing for me a bit.
McKenna was...okay. He’s pretty much all bark and no bite, I get how some people liked him but there was only really two moments where I was enamored in him as a hero. Aline was okay, I wish she’d let go of her insecurities, but I also understood how someone in that position has always been made to feel insecure. It was frustrating for sure, and I wish it didn’t take so long to reach the resolution but I understood it.
I pretty much was bored of the Livia and Shaw parts until the end basically. It was cute and I liked their resolution but it was pretty meh since the book didn’t focus on them in comparison to McKenna and Aline.
I’m wondering if I needed to start this series to be attached to anyone in this book, but oh well.
