This is my 5th Bridgerton book that I have read in the series and probably my favourite so far. It is about Eloise, who writes to Sir Phillip after his wife dies, and they slowly begin corresponding with Sir Phillip, eventually writing to her to invite her to his estate/ makes a proposal. Whilst there is romance, my favourite parts of the book involve Phillips unruly children's twins, Amanda and Oliver, and her relationships with her siblings, particularly the shooting contest when her brothers come to "rescue" her and her reputation. I also liked the snippets of letters at the beginning and interspersed throughout the chapters. I appreciate that in comparison at times, Sir Phillip seems one dimensional and flat, but the writing wins through. So, in summary its fluffy historical light fast read where love wins.
