A coming of age story that features the complexities of navigating friendships and relationships whilst dealing with social awkwardness. I appreciate how we know that Charlie's aunt had sexually abused him as a child, but it was not explicitly revealed until the end.
The character development of Charlie throughout the story is thorough and slow - sure, he is annoying at times, but that is accurate to how you would expect a confused, growing teen to act.
Overall an enjoyable read.
